Zoning Districts

Permitted Uses

Each zoning district contains a series of uses that are permitted to be established within the district. These are uses that have been deemed suitable to operate in the district based on its operation type and density. Nevertheless, there are other considerations to take into account when selecting a property for a specific use such as parking requirements.

Conditional Uses

Each zoning district contains a list of uses deemed conditionally approved. Conditional uses are those uses that are not necessarily deemed the best fit for the area but they are still reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Conditional Uses require a separate application and approval by the City Council. Therefore, this process requires a public hearing prior to determination. The City Council can place conditions on the use such as hours of operations and additional restrictions to alleviate impact to surrounding properties.
